List of Characters

Robin Peakes: Protagonist. Alcoholic. Former Private Investigator who works with the police because she feels sorry for them. She is sarcastic, rude and refuses to be polite to people because she just couldn't be bothered to. There are a few issues in her life that she hasn't come to terms with and that's why she is the way she is.

Lieutenant Alexander Collins: My Watson. Robin's partner, ten years older than her and the main victim of her bullying personality. He accepts her criticisms because he's so used to it. He wants to be just like Humphrey Bogart, but he really doesn't have Hard-Boiled in him. He's very moral and a bit of a Try Hard.

Kathy Green: Collins' secretary. A meek personality and very much a Girl Next Door in the looks department. Robin nicknames her 'Little Bit'.

Jacob 'Wily' Dunwoodie: A local mobster who's daughter is murdered in a drive-by. Wily owns a film studio that makes Porn called Love-it Productions. He's British, over weight and can keep his cool in any situation.

Anthony Giovannini: The main suspect. A typical mobster, Giovannini was in negotiations with Dunwoodie to buy Love-it. Giovannini is smart and well spoken, and more likely to lose his temper and kill someone than Dunwoodie.

Phillip 'Feely Phil' Lovett: The top gun at Love-it Productions, owned by Dunwoodie. Phil used to be an A-Grade pornstar, until he got out of shape - now he's an award winning director who likes experimenting with angles and lighting. Robin used to work for Phil as one of his 'girls' until she went into Private Investigation.

Rory Phillips: A hitman on Giovannini's pay role. Known as the Robin Hood of assassins, but Robin thinks he's more of a Lara Croft because he uses guns in both hands rather than a bow and arrow.

Cecilia Dunwoodie: Dunwoodie's young daughter murdered in a drive-by while out shopping with her mother. A little Angel.

Thomas Giffen: A boy genius who's parents own a secret firearms store in suburbia which Robin frequents. He also works as a consultant for a security company.

Captain Cohen: Collins' boss. Very into order and stability. Enforces rules without understanding them. He doesn't like the media or anyone that tries to understand his logic - he uses intimidation to try and keep them away.

Jules Grimshaw: Known as the Man with the Iron Biro, Grimshaw is the reporter on the Cop Beat and is an exceptional investigative reporter. Collins hates him because he always manages to expose him for what he is - a try hard with no clue.

Neville Carmichael: Robin's snitch. A scottsman who went to school with Robin who almost matches Grimshaw's investigative skills. Robin always calls him for information whenever she needs it, and he always delivers. For a small fee. He is also a locksmith.
